Here you can see a small preview of the folder at the top left.Press (command)+(i) to open the info window.Switch to the Finder and select any folder with the mouse.Use copy & paste to bring the icon into the image processing. But you have to read this graphic first in order to be able to use it in Pixelmator Pro.
This is a neat way to create folder icons on MacOS. Or you can use a MacOS folder as the base graphic. You now have two options: You can drag an image or graphic directly onto the Pixelmator icon and adjust it to your liking.
You now have an "empty" icon in front of you, with which you can continue working immediately.

But the thing with the icons is annoying: Unlike Windows, there are hardly any theming sets and, as is typical for Apple, it is also rather difficult to adapt MacOS to personal needs.
